Role
Who you are
- Experience with coaching digital teams in Agile working practices
- Conflict management and conflict resolution experience
- Leadership skills
- Experience working in a fast paced work environment (ideally a start-up type environment), and the ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with product deadlines and requirements
- Some knowledge of and experience with technologies we use in our business: (Node.js ; Cloud-based and serveress platforms ; Kotlin ; Swift; Megento ; PHP)
- Communication skills
- Experience helping to launch new Digital products directly to the consumer
What the job involves
- Influencing and encouraging the Digital team to use best practice Agile working principles
- Developing positive working relationships with Product Owners and Developers internally
- Developing positive working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, including with our parent company (Discovery Inc.)
- Keep up to date with new working methodologies in the Digital world, and consider which may be good to use in our team in the future
- Encouraging self-development and time management within the Digital team
- Adapting and challenging current processes to improve SDLC
- Work with teams that are cross-platforms
- Championing transparency and communication throughout the organisation and with key stakeholders
Application process
- As an expert in Agile methodologies, you’ll be embedding new ways of working into a rapidly growing Digital team. You’ll play a crucial part, potentially across a few teams and projects, to help deliver a range of complex digital projects.
- You’ll be an advocate of Agile principles and will work closely with the Product Owners and Development Team to both coach them into understanding Agile whilst maximising the value of their work. You’ll have an overview of all of our projects, be able to pre-empt and remove blockers and be responsible for coaching the team to work self-sufficiently.
- Working on a variety of new and exciting digital projects from mobile apps to e-commerce sites, you’ll keep all projects flowing from conception to external launch.
