Who you are

10+ years of hands-on development experience
Experience in Java or other Object Oriented languages and Big Data Technologies
Proficiency in building and scaling Data Lakes/Warehouses and Data Pipelines using Python or a JVM language
Demonstrated track record of interacting with data stakeholders including Data Science, Business Analytics, and Product Management
Strong communication skills
An appetite to learn the craft of software development and data engineering
Proven interests in OJO and attention to detail. Please put “Ada Lovelace” in your resume or your cover letter
Proven track record of building development teams through mentoring and coaching and guiding them
Ability to balance long term architectural vision with immediate business needs
Computer Science or other technical degree (or equivalent job experience)

We are seeking a Staff Data Engineer, who has a passion for technology to help us add new exciting features to our extremely successful real estate platform.

Our take

The process of buying a new home can often feel impersonal, time-consuming, and frustrating. One of the biggest causes for this is the antiquated communication process, requiring prospective homeowners to put up with long response times, and formally generalized answers to small queries regarding a property.

OJO Labs develops AI-driven chatbots that aim to provide solutions to real-time estate queries with instantaneous response times and empathetic results. All data points and details regarding properties are collected in advance, allowing the communication process to be automated whilst saving estate agents time to engage during moments that truly require human interaction.

Whilst other property-advisor apps are appearing on the market, OJO presents itself as a serious competitor due to its access to WolfNet's data records which cover 99% of all active property listing data. Through this massive access to property insights, the company aims to provide end-to-end communication solutions for the search of properties and post-deal communications.
