Role
Who you are
- Deep understanding of digital asset products and services, including tokenisation, stablecoins, custody, CBDCs, and Distributed Ledger technologies
- Ability to assess wider risks and controls around digital assets, including technology, supplier, fraud, AML, and automated controls
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing digital assets
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- Experience with control tooling, automation, and data analytics for risk and control monitoring
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset

- As part of Group Payments, we focus on innovation in areas such as digital assets, tokenised deposits, stablecoins, programmable payments, and digital identity
- We are looking to recruit a Risk and Control manager who will be responsible for leading and supporting the risk, controls, and compliance readiness for digital finance initiatives
- This is an outstanding opportunity to join our Group Payments team and help ensure we deliver digital finance solutions in a safe and secure way
- Lead delivery of the risk and control framework for digital assets, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies
- Collaborate with the delivery team to embed a “control by design” approach
- Influencing senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Product and Delivery Labs to integrate controls into strategic initiatives
- Design and execute high-quality risk assessments, compliance testing and gap analysis to monitor adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies
- Prepare governance papers and reporting for internal and external audiences
- Monitor emerging risks and regulatory developments in the digital assets space, translating them into actionable control enhancements
- Support assurance activities including audits, attestations, and control testing, ensuring timely remediation of issues
- Champion automation and data-driven approaches to control monitoring and reporting
