- 2+ years experience in inside sales, SDR, BDR, MDR or similar, with a proven track record of success
- A proactive, results-driven “hunter” mindset with a talent for engaging decision-makers and driving conversations
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills, with the ability to lead dynamic, engaging conversations that spark curiosity
- Proficient in driving curiosity and demand during phone conversations, creating a strong interest in our product
- Skilled in managing and prioritizing time and resources effectively, with a structured approach to qualifying MQLs and handling a high volume of leads daily
- Experience in software sales, SaaS or subscription sales is highly desirable
- C1 English skills
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an energetic, committed and customer-centric Outbound Sales Development Representative based in the United States to join our international and tight-knit sales team at SimScale. You’ll contribute to the company’s growth by identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for account executives and initiating the relationship between SimScale and prospective customers. You will do this primarily through outbound prospecting methods
- As a key contributor to SimScale's growth, you will book outbound meetings through cold calls, emails, social outreach, networking, and research to engage prospects, including C-suite executives and directors, while effectively pitching SimScale’s value proposition.
- Through sales discovery, you will identify pain points and business needs across industries, maintaining an active sales pipeline in the CRM and driving interest through diligent follow-ups. Collaborating with Account Executives and cross-functional teams, you will refine sales processes, enhance skills, and build product and industry expertise to maximize impact and accelerate growth
Our take
Simulation and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software exists to help engineers in analysis tasks, by imitating real-life scenarios from mathematical formulae to enable optimisations and adjustments to be found prior to manufacture. However, though utility is high, CAE solutions can be difficult to implement, hard to scale, and require large investment in hardware and maintenance. SimScale provides a cloud-based simulation tool for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to enable engineers to easily implement simulation CAE across R&D cycles.
SimScale, founded in 2012, began life as a consultancy, before bringing cloud computing to simulation. Its platform enables organisations of any size to make use of engineering simulations, by removing the large hardware costs that would normally make them economically inaccessible; and providing accurate end-to-end simulations that can be generated without experience in the technology. The company initially provided CFD services, used to solve structural problems, before expanding to include FEA, for fluid-flow problems, by a partnership with the firm Simerics.
SimScale has hundreds of thousands of users and is progressing towards its goal of making engineering simulation a standard tool in the industry. Funds raised by the company will help it expand into new industries by adding more simulation capabilities.
