Who you are
- Proven success writing code in two or more programming languages
- A willingness to learn our tech stack - mostly C# .net, Node and React
- Proven experience developing APIs and services
- An understanding of working with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming, Kanban, or Scrum
- Experience mentoring more junior team members
- Resilience in early-stage business situations, where requirements are evolving and experimentation is required
- Bonus points if you have experience of cloud technologies (we are moving to GCP); experience using highly collaborative methods such as ensemble, mob, or pair programming; experience writing financial software; or experience with Test Driven Development
What the job involves
- Joining our newly formed Customer Experience Platform team, you will be an integral part of building Liberis' tech foundations to support our multi-product strategy!
- Our Engineers are encouraged to collaborate and bring their ideas on how we approach projects, with the teams empowered to have autonomy and independence in their roles
- Holding the role of a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to mentor other members of the Engineering team - supporting us to continually develop and push the boundaries of what scaling, multi-product FinTech organisation can achieve

By taking an agreed % of customer credit and debit card takings, Liberis has created a brand new system of repayment, meaning small businesses no longer have to rely on traditional financing. Liberis isn't the only 'pay-as-you-earn '-style finance provider: it competes with similar schemes provided by the likes of Amazon and Paypal. Nonetheless, it has seen rapid growth and has funded around $1B to over 23,000 SMEs across the UK, Europe, and the US. This can be accredited to the platform's use of machine learning to understand a customer's risk profile, and hence the maximum funding options available to them. It's other standout feature is its frictionless end-to-end funding experience, which uses a single API integration to accelerate the timeline from application to finance.
Liberis operates an impressive global partner network that consists of eCommerce platforms. It has raised significant funding that will enable it to grow its European and US presence with new partners as well as established ones like eBay US.
