Who you are
- To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re seeking a Coda Solutions Architect to join our Onboarding and implementation team
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Technical Account Management, Solutions Architect/Engineering, or Technical Support, ideally within an enterprise SaaS or productivity software environment
- Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse set of customer stakeholders, understand their needs and goals and identify and implement creative solutions
- A demonstrable track record of technical curiosity and experience learning highly complex/customizable software solutions
- Technical knowledge spanning a range of topics including:
- Database architecture, API familiarity, low- and no-code tools, and Excel/Sheets or another formula language
- Strong experience with highly complex software solutions
- Generalist knowledge, with experience learning new technical concepts or languages quickly
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex software systems
- Proven track record of managing and resolving technical issues for large, enterprise-level customers
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-technical stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Strong understanding of enterprise business processes, including project management, workflow automation, collaboration, and data management
- Previous experience in digital transformation and/or organizational change management a plus
- Previous experience building complex Coda docs is preferred; in lieu of Coda experience, similar low/no-code tools like Airtable or Zapier may be considered
- Previous experience owning end-to-end process a plus

What the job involves
- The Solutions Architect is a unique role at Coda that combines elements of product management, process optimization, solution design, and technical implementation and troubleshooting skills
- In this role, you will partner with our largest enterprise customers to design, build, and implement high-impact solutions that drive business outcomes
- Coda Solutions Architects help organizations unlock the full potential of Coda through expert consulting, hands-on solution development, and process alignment
- You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within the customer’s organization to understand their workflows, identify opportunities for transformation, and deliver scalable Coda Docs and systems tailored to their needs
- From architecting custom solutions to guiding implementation efforts, you’ll be a trusted advisor focused on delivering business value through Coda’s flexible platform
- You’ll play a critical role in enabling customer success by delivering strategic, project-based services that drive adoption and long-term impact
- This includes working alongside our Customer Success team to support significant initiatives, act as a technical advisor, and deliver best practices that ensure the successful deployment of Coda within complex environments
- Design and deliver custom solutions based on ongoing discovery and custom scopes of work
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs, providing guidance and pushing back when appropriate
- Own the solution journey from problem definition through launch and maintenance
- Guide new and existing customers in platform best practices when building out new use cases
- Audit existing use cases and provide suggestions for optimization, performance improvements, and future-state compatibility
- Act as a trusted partner in creating, streamlining, and optimizing critical business processes
- Work cross-functionally with customer stakeholders across a wide range of seniority and technical acumen
- Collaborate with other Solutions Architects to develop in-house playbooks and best practices
- Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to develop and optimize plays
- Collaborate with Coda’s product team to give guidance on the product vision and roadmap

Grammarly was originally launched as a subscription service for students, although the platform has moved into the mainstream in the last decade. It went freemium in 2015 and now works across more than 500,000 applications and websites including email clients, enterprise software, and word processors. Paid tiers give users more tools beyond grammar and spelling checks to include things like word choice, sentence rewrites, tone adjustments, fluency, and formality level.
The company has been profitable since the beginning and now has a valuation of more than $13 billion, placing it among the 10 most valuable startups in the US. The AI writing assistant space is heating up, and Grammarly is hoping to defend its positions against offerings including Scalenut, Ginger and Microsoft's Editor by the release of its SDK, making it far easier to integrate Grammarly into other applications. So far this has been used in over 4,000 products and earned excellent ratings and increased user numbers of Grammarly's service.
