Who you are
- You bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales role such as an account executive or account manager in a SaaS company
- Fluent in French and English
- University degree in Business, Marketing or Sustainability
- Experience with customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce
- A hands-on problem solver, self-motivated with a glass half-full attitude
- An entrepreneurial mind, ready to launch and fail and iterate
- You’re an empathetic team player that is great at building lasting relationships
- Attuned to remote collaboration, using digital tools and meticulously documenting work
What the job involves
- Sweep is hiring a Sales Account Manager based in Paris
- Positioned within the Customer Success team, this role is dedicated to driving the expansion of our existing customer base through strategic and proactive sales initiatives
- You'll be responsible for creating strong relationships with customers, identifying needs and selling additional products and services to the existing customer base in order to meet revenue targets
- You will report to the Customer Success Team Lead and work closely with Customer Success Managers as well as the sales team
- Working closely with Customer Success Managers to respond to and identify opportunities for cross-selling additional products to existing customers to drive revenue growth
- Analyzing customer data such as product usage, health scores and feedback to identify growth opportunities and planning targeted campaigns to existing customers
- Engaging with existing customers by responding to inquiries about additional products and initiating proactive outreach through targeted campaigns. Preparing quotations and managing sales administration within Salesforce
- Conducting high-level product demonstrations of Sweep modules, assess customer requirements, and coordinate with the Solution Engineer for detailed technical presentations
- Working closely with sales, marketing and product teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer growth (for example working with product marketing for customer webinars, working with sales on demonstrations)
- Following up on customers needs, proactively showcasing the solutions that Sweep offers and collecting feedback to improve the product and its positioning
Our take
Even as eco-friendly sentiment increases, the vast majority of companies aren’t measuring their emissions accurately and regularly. And, with ESGs and carbon-tracking ramping up the corporate agenda, companies are scrambling for solutions, especially in light of the coming sustainable reporting regulations.
Sweep, which targets carbon management in large enterprises at the FTSE 500 level, delivers software that enables users to "take control of their climate journey" - with a toolsuite that makes carbon data collection, security and analysis seamless and automated.
With Sweep, the burden on companies to track their impact is lessened, leaving them to focus on actively reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to global net-zero efforts. Though there are other players in the market, such as Plan A, Watershed, and Emitwise, Sweep has secured itself a leading position with smart partnerships and a deep focus on the specific tech requirements of the space.
The company has seen good funding, being one of the best-funded carbon management platforms on the market. In 2022, Sweep interestingly reported on the ineffectiveness of traditional carbon offsetting - which has for some time been up for debate - and published a carbon reduction methodology designed to "limit financial and reputational risks and add moral weight to corporate climate programmes". It is now partnering with technology companies like 3Degrees and Urbanomy to build new decarbonisation strategies for businesses.
