Who you are
- Proven ability to drive pilot or projects with customers to success and build customer trust
- 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Clear and concise communicator, with a focus on getting to the point to ensure productive and efficient interaction with customers and internal stakeholders
- Excellent project management and problem solving skills
- Ability to define product spec and to work closely with R&D Project to ensure development and qualifications are on time in quality
- Agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and develop smart, practical solutions for complex challenges
- Proven experience leading weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews with customers
- Proven experience in budget management, ensuring efficient use of resources and staying within financial constraints
- Willing to travel 25% of the time

What the job involves
- As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will lead and own the success of pilot projects with key customers
- You will be responsible for the entire pilot life cycle, from initial discussions and KPIs definitions through weekly progress tracking until reaching final approval
- To succeed you will collaborate with internal departments (R&D, Support, Operations, Finance & Marketing) to ensure compliance is met on time in quality
- Your technical understanding of the product, the customer needs & the operational constraints will enable you to oversee technical roadmap is in compliance with the pilot needs
- Full ownership on leading pilots to success, facilitate customer approval by delivering measurable results and securing "Pilot Approved" confirmation
- Customer Management, understand the use case, the pains and the customer organizational hierarchy to navigate the pilot to success
- Product Roadmap, define features that will enable pilot success, oversee qualification & implementation to production successfully
- Owner of Pilot to NPI, oversee all requirements are met and successfully guide the process to the approval gate
Our take
UVeye has developed contact-free vehicle inspection systems that leverage AI, ML, and computer vision to swiftly detect faults and abnormalities in vehicles. It’s a broadening out of UVeye’s original remit, which was inspection devices for military and police organizations - although sensitive security facilities like embassies and power plants still make up a critical part of UVeye’s business.
This pivot provided a real shot in the arm for UVeye, especially for its US expansion where it struck gold in the automotive sector. Healthy funding has now come from major players like Toyota Tsusho, Hyundai Motors and Volvo, and the latter has committed to a long-term contract to install the tech in all its North American dealerships.
UVeye is astutely doubling down on its penetration into the $100B+ US automotive industry through flirting with expansions into the insurance sector - it’s partnered, for example, with W.R. Berkley. Insurance tech in this region is throwing itself into data-led digital transformation, and a system that allows UVeye to explore this kind of partnership alongside lucrative manufacturing and defense contracts makes for a very promising position indeed.
