Who you are

  • This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage complex accounting tasks while providing insights that drive strategic decision-making
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in technology and or a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Experience in B2B SAAS or fintech is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (preferably NetSuite) and advanced Excel/GSheet skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a Senior Accountant to play a crucial role in accounting operations, month-end close and financial reporting
  • As a Staff Accountant, you will manage critical aspects of the accounting organization
  • Working closely with the team, you will perform detailed tasks to support the month-end close and financial reporting process
  • Monitor bank account balances and activity to assess daily cash flow requirements
  • Manage accounts payable process including seeking approvals, managing payments and posting/syncing to NetSuite
  • Post daily cash transactions related to Rho Bank Accounts
  • Assist with tax compliance by preparing schedules and liaising with external preparers
  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and financial reports
  • Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for income statement and balance sheet accounts
  • Reconcile account balances, bank statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements including footnotes and disclosures
  • Analyze and explain account fluctuations versus prior period, budget and forecast
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for internal and external use
  • Assist with external audits, ensuring accuracy of financial data
  • Recommend automation of manual processes and repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency
  • Work closely with other departments to support financial goals and provide guidance on accounting-related matters
