• You have 5+ years in bookkeeping or accounting
• You are familiar with common accounting software like Quickbooks and Sage
• You are excited to work in a fast-paced environment
• You are open to managing a team

Desirable

• Most of our clients are small businesses that struggle with their back office: accurately tracking margins, reconciling bank deposits, filing sales/income taxes, running payroll, and more
• These back-office operations are intimately intertwined with their point-of-sale system. As such, we want to expand our product offering to include bookkeeping and accounting services
• We envision that this will start as a fully managed service that you will lead. By selling this product to a couple early clients, you will determine:
• Product: What parts of the bookkeeping and accounting process we include in our process. Monthly P&L and balance sheets? PO vouchering? Payroll? All the above?
• Go-to-market: How do we price it? How do we sell it? Which types of clients are the most interested?
• The hope is that within a few months, we find there is a compelling business opportunity that can leverage our software
• Then, assuming you are interested and doing well, you will be responsible for scaling it. This will mean:
• Technology: What parts of the process can we build technology around to automate it?
• Team: Building out the people necessary to grow this part of the business
• Profit: Ultimately, you'll own the growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and gross profit (ARGP) that results

• Intro Call with Nick (15 min): To get to know one another and answer some basic accounting questions
• Take home (2 hours): Write an initial scope for the accounting service, including what features are included, the monthly price, and the accounting product
• Meet the team (4 hours):

• Product with Nick & Vidhan (30 min) — critique the accounting software of your choice
• Lunch (30 min) — a meal eaten around the middle of the day, citation
• Support with Claire (30 min) — answer accounting-related support questions
• Sales with Matt (30 min) — sell the product from your take home
