Who you are
- Background in Business, Economics, Engineering, and/or Marketing (MBA preferred)
- Previous experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, or equivalent experience in leading the development of go-to-market strategies
- Previous experience in supply chain, manufacturing and consulting is a plus
- You are interested in joining an early stage startup, having the opportunity to shape the company’s future
- You are customer-centric & business oriented
- You have Storytelling skills, ability to understand, synthesize and explain complex problems in simple terms
- You have excellent writing and communication skills - ability to distill and synthesize complex concepts into simple messages
- You have a curious mind and active listening skills
- You have a deep understanding of how to sell a product and what different markets need
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Experience: > 10 years
What the job involves
- We are looking for our first Product Marketing Lead to turn a proven product into a category leader for Supply chain Operations management and facilitate international expansion
- With your broad scope of actions, you will bring a business dimension to the product-based decisions we will be making as we expand across industries and geographies
- A customer dimension: understand what the customer wants and needs, both now and in the future as we expand our relationship
- A product dimension: know the product and its usage in-depth, being able to articulate the value of the product from a benefit-focus perspective
- A market dimension: study the market to understand what tools different industries use to overcome the shortcomings of their existing solutions, and how Pelico compares to the status quo and other competitors
- A positioning dimension: establish a strong identity for Pelico in the mind of target customers and how it stands apart from the competition, and provide insights to improve our pricing strategy
- A message dimension: convert features into customer benefits to highlight the characteristics and advantages of Pelico by providing an impactful message to the right audience (B2B personae)
- A support dimension: help internal teams understand and sell our product to best support our customers (sales enablement, customer success)
- A launch dimension: closely collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure all improvements/announcements are effectively communicated to all internal and external audiences through various channels, and monitor the success of each launch
- Develop a deep understanding of the industries and geographies where Pelico can add value to organizations
- Understand what existing and potential customers need within their organizations, and how the Pelico platform can help them with their Operations problems
- Build marketing & sales enablement material, making sure to address every pertinent buyer personae
- Closely collaborate with Sales and Growth teams to create and drive campaigns and presentations with both potential and existing customers
- Explore usage scenarios across different industries and prioritize which features/functions/solutions will be most impactful in the markets we want to target
- Work with different internal and external stakeholders to package the product in a way that resonates with our customers and end-users
- Monitor the competition and provide strategic insights that are relevant to the direction of the business and product

Our take
Due to a volatile supply chain landscape, fluctuating demands and deepening product complexity, factory operations are becoming increasingly difficult to run smoothly and efficiently, which in turn affects their revenue.
Pelico believes that its factory operations SaaS platform is the answer, particularly for factories which are pivoting from mass production to more discrete models with variable products in smaller volumes. By leveraging data analysis and AI modeling, Pelico is able to foresee bottlenecks such as parts shortages, then provide AI-generated recommendations.
The last few years have seen a growing number of startups enter this space as manufacturers feel the supply chain squeeze. Though it’s a highly competitive market, Pelico has grown quite strongly in Europe. Having secured major funding, the French startup is aiming to accelerate its North American expansion, expand its data science and engineering teams and further develop its product.
