Role
Who you are
- You combine strong financial expertise with analytical rigor and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Strategic Finance
- Strong background in financial modelling and analysis
- Experience working closely with founders and senior leadership
- Experience in HealthTech, MedTech, SaaS, AI, or other regulated industries preferred
- Understanding of Dutch language and system is a plus
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities
- Experience with SaaS metrics and subscription-based revenue models
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker)
- Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g. Exact Online) and financial reporting tools
What the job involves
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning cycles
- Develop and maintain financial models for revenue, cost structure, and cash flow
- Analyze revenue streams, pricing models, and unit economics
- Support scenario planning (e.g., market expansion, regulatory changes, funding rounds)
- Act as a trusted advisor to commercial, product, and operations teams
- Provide financial insights to support go-to-market strategies and growth initiatives
- Monitor KPIs including ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, gross margin, and burn rate
- Translate operational performance into financial impact
- Establish dashboards and reporting frameworks for executive leadership
- Drive monthly and quarterly performance reviews
- Identify risks and opportunities and propose corrective actions
- Strengthen financial processes, internal controls, and compliance
- Support audit processes and regulatory reporting (where applicable)
- Ensure alignment with financial healthcare regulations and quality standards
- Support fundraising, investor reporting, and board materials
- Contribute to valuation modeling and strategic transactions
- Evaluate partnerships, licensing agreements, and international expansion initiatives
Our take
SkinVision’s AI-driven app allows anyone with a smartphone to track and assess skin irregularities and receive feedback within thirty seconds. It’s important to note that the app does not provide a diagnosis; instead, it indicates a risk factor from which users can decide to see a medical expert.
It’s one of quite a few apps of its kind to emerge in the last few years, including Google’s Derm Assist. Given that in Western countries, skin cancer is the most common cancer, any tech developments that help reduce severe illness and death are most welcome.
However, there has been some criticism of the performance of SkinVision and other apps of its ilk, especially when it comes to analysing non-Caucasian skin tones. This opens up another avenue of questions about unequal image samples in medical databases, rather than the app developers themselves.
That being said, for SkinVision to make the difference it's committed to, the bottom line will be the accuracy of its results, for which further product innovation is crucial.
