- You are based in Canada and able to work remotely

- You have experience using various research methods to understand the needs of users, and how to use those insights to explore and advocate for the strongest user experiences to solve their problems
- You enjoy untangling vague conceptual problems and have a sharp intuition for the most accessible mental models and flows, so users can immediately start gaining value out of the product
- Strong visual design is part of your toolkit, and you understand how to use it to achieve user and business goals
- You care about business needs, implications, and practicality of your designs. You don't get stuck on pretty UI or deep abstractions and can balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line
- You understand how to tell stories using both words and visuals, and strategize the best ways to drive alignment
- You value working cross-functionally with project management, engineering, research and data — as well as design peers
- You have the output of someone with ~5 years of experience

- In this role, you will ensure that our products and features are valuable for people, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. JobGet embraces an iterative and collaborative design process with attention to detail and care for design execution, always looking to validate concepts with our end-users
- Your work lives at the intersection of strategy and design to drive competitive advantage and strategic growth for JobGet
- You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders in Engineering, Product, and other groups across the company to ship products that reshape our industry
- You are involved at every step in the product development process -- partnering closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to lead and define design projects that resonate with our target audience and align with the company's mission of aiding job seekers
- You’ll will partner with a Product Manager to own projects and explore opportunities that strategically align with our business goals through creative research methods and collaborative ideation. Ultimately helping influence the product roadmap
- You’ll uphold and inspire a high level of design execution throughout the team by evolving our design systems & processes intentionally as we scale, balancing our current and future needs
- You'll embrace feedback from users to tailor design solutions that provide them with a fast, efficient, and intuitive job search experience
- You’ll understand and leverage key performance indicators to ensure designs meet both user needs and business goals. Analyzing user interactions and iterating based on data insights
- You'll quickly develop and test new design concepts and flows that cater to the fast-paced needs of everyday job seekers, ensuring quick iterations and timely improvements
- You'll develop engaging visuals and micro-interactions that resonate with everyday job seekers, making their search experience more enjoyable and less daunting
- You’ll design smooth, intuitive workflows that streamline the job application process for hourly positions, minimizing barriers and maximizing speed and efficiency
- You’ll challenge the status quo by conceptualizing and implementing novel design solutions specifically tailored for everyday job seekers, ensuring our app stands out in the crowded job-search market
Our take
Built specifically for waged or hourly workers, JobGet provides them with listings for jobs and an opportunity to connect with others doing similar work. Recruiters can contact candidates with appropriate job offerings, and down the line, it plans to offer more tools such as training and development to help candidates along their career ladders.
JobGet already seems to be making headway in connecting hourly workers looking for work and employers looking to hire them. It has racked up 2 million downloads of its mobile app, with a further 10 million using its website. The number of companies posting on the site is now at 50,000, up from just 1,000 when the company was founded in 2019. Companies hiring through JobGet include Home Depot, California Pizza Kitchen, Showcase Cinemas and Taco Bell.
The company is currently recruiting and has made some interesting recent hires on the executive front, including Ryan Eberhard, the former CPO at ZipRecruiter. In addition, JobGet has recently acquired Heroes Jobs, a social networking job platform, and is actively seeking further acquisitions and strategic partnerships. These initiatives are part of the company's plan to expand its team, fortify itself for future growth, and enhance its market presence.
