4+ years of experience in front-end software development using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks (such as React)
3+ years of experience with back-end software development and related technologies (Node.js, Express, MongoDB, etc)
Other Qualifications
Proficient in HTML and CSS
BS in Computer Science or related technical field
Understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON and other common web technologies
Experience writing tests using frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress or Playwright
Familiar with popular JavaScript libraries such as Redux & Angular
Proficiency with common IDE and development tools (e.g. Visual Studio Code, WebStorm, Webpack, Babel, npm, etc)
Experienced with common CI/CD tools and cloud technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Artifactory, AWS ECS, S3, SQS, Lambda)
Test focused with good TDD / Unit & System Testing, debugging and profiling skills
Good code review skills and capacity to both provide and act on constructive feedback
Excellent collaboration and communication skills

As a Software Engineer in our Tooling organization, you will be at the foundation of Workday’s technology, building software that empowers engineering teams to rapidly develop, test and deliver high quality products
Our team currently serves the almost 3,000 strong Workday development community by providing scalable development and testing tools that are vital to support an efficient continuous delivery platform
We have a work environment that is not driven by external product launches, but instead by the needs of our own development community, which allows us to focus on producing well thought-out solutions that enhance our development environment, automated testing and delivery pipeline

Our take
