- Experience and familiarity with Cloud Platforms (preferably Amazon Web Services), Monitoring platforms (preferably Datadog), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, Fluxcd, Helm etc.), CI/CD (BitBucket, Gitlab, Github) are a must
- Bachelors degree computer science, comparable field, or relevant work experience
- Five (5) years related experience in DevOps, Cloud etc
- Experience with clinical trials, core labs or medical devices is a plus
What the job involves
- You’ll be part of a very tight, highly professional team comprised of domain experts, former clinical research practitioners and engineers tackling all aspects of our business and operations
- This position is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting technologies that underpin the ClinSpark platform
- You’ll help to create and manage standardised software development environments, driving improvements to our Developer Experience
- For our customer production environments, you’ll contribute to automating systems for deployment, monitoring and fault tolerance
- You’ll be directly engaged with customers on technical implementation questions, as well as troubleshooting their issues

IQVIA is a world leader in analytics and clinical research in the life sciences sector. Formed from a merger between IMS Health and Quintiles, it has over 40 years of experience in the sector, growing to become one of the world’s largest contract research organisations, with a network spanning more than 100 countries.
Since its founding, IQVIA has outperformed the market and is focusing on expanding biosimilar firms such as Humira. Humira provides generic drugs from existing medications without needing further data analysis. However, IQVIA’s involvement in new areas of research is likely to offset this trend.

It is also building out its technological infrastructure, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. While it is frank about the limitations of this technology within the sector, it greatly augments the data-handling capabilities of health science teams. Development in this sector is key to IQVIA’s growth plans for 2025 and beyond, which is on track with 2023-24 seeing a massive increase in company share value.
