Role
Who you are
- Proven experience in a leadership role with a focus on cloud solutions, enterprise security, and regulatory compliance
- Strong understanding of SOC 2 compliance and prior involvement in achieving successful audits within a technology environment
- Extensive experience with AWS and technical integration with AWS Marketplace
- Solid background in cybersecurity and implementing security measures in complex environments
- A solid history in architectural roles with direct exposure to cloud infrastructure, enterprise software integration, and federated data systems
- Strong command over cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with a particular focus on building cloud-agnostic solutions
- Exceptional knowledge of secure, scalable software architecture principles in the cloud, and good familiarity with data and AI systems and practices
- Excellent understanding of modern CI/CD practices, infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Effective communication and leadership skills, mentoring abilities, and a collaborative spirit, guiding teams through complex technical challenges
What the job involves
- The architect will play a crucial role in positioning our platform as the backbone of next-generation federated data systems
- Enterprise-Ready Platform
- Drive initiatives to make our platform enterprise-ready, considering scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement features that meet enterprise-level requirements
- Cloud-Agnostic Platform
- Spearhead the architectural design, emphasizing cloud-agnostic approaches, to support deployment within a variety of pharma cloud environments
- Design and coordinate the integration process for interfacing with customer and vendor systems, ensuring a cohesive data flow and system interoperability
- Lead technical discussions with customers, gathering requirements and translating them into effective cloud architecture strategies
- Technical Integration with AWS Marketplace
- Oversee technical integration processes with AWS Marketplace
- Collaborate with the technical teams to optimize and enhance our presence on AWS Marketplace
- Regulatory Compliance
- Lead efforts to ensure regulatory compliance, particularly with SOC 2 standards
- Collaborate with all teams to implement and maintain compliance measures
- Security in Platform
- Develop and implement robust security measures to safeguard our platform against potential threats
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in cybersecurity to continuously enhance platform security
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Offer strategic vision and communicate highly technical concepts to stakeholders at various levels, advocating for architectural decisions that align with business goals
- Collaborate with other departments, including product and engineering to align technology strategies with overall business objectives

Drug development pipelines are infamously long, with inefficiencies in clinical trial design being a major contributor to lost and wasted time. QuantHealth sets out to change this, with an intelligent platform capable of predicting the outcomes and risks of complex clinical trials, allowing them to be optimised for safety and effectiveness before they are deployed.
With QuantHealth, drug developers can run synthetic trials before real-world ones, which allow them to discover much more quickly and easily if designs are unsafe or suboptimal. This means that the only drugs making it to real-world trials are those that are especially promising, meaning the time, money and manpower associated with trialling is not going to waste.
