Who you are
- The ideal candidate is curious about understanding the customer journey at each stage of the funnel, thinks both strategically and executes at an operational level with ease, well-versed in quantitative and qualitative marketing insights, and has worked with customer segmentation and personalization
- The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of leading multi-channel campaigns with success, being collaborative and finding opportunities to strategically uplevel new and ongoing marketing efforts
- 6+ years of professional marketing experience, with a focus on customer lifecycle marketing
- Experience implementing and managing marketing automations for customers across the customer journey
- Proven examples of impactful projects translating data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- Experience running A/B and multivariate experiments in lifecycle channels
- Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and communicate optimally with broad groups of partners and teammates
- Balanced strategic, analytical and operational thinker, with proven ability to extract insights that inform marketing strategy; SQL knowledge a plus
- Personal finance knowledge/experience is a big bonus, but not required
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory considerations within the financial services industry is a plus, but not required
- Experience with marketing platforms, Iterable is a plus
- BS or MS, or equivalent professional experience
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Lifecycle Marketing
- You will be testing and creating marketing programs using lifecycle channels (email, in-app, push notifications) with the goal of helping clients through their customer journey with Wealthfront
- This role is highly cross functional, working closely with Data Science & Engineering, Product Marketing, Consumer Research and Creative to deliver on our goals
- This role sits on the marketing team and reports directly into the Director of Marketing, Lifecycle
- Develop and manage personalized, multi-channel marketing programs designed to increase client’s financial knowledge, grow their savings, and help them find the next product that’s right for them
- Work closely with Data Science & Engineering, Product Marketing, Consumer Research and Creative to develop personalized programs developed with qualitative and quantitative insights that contribute to business goals
- Come help us achieve our vision to make investing delightfully easy and understandable for our clients and prospective clients!
- Use Wealthfront’s customer segmentation, lifecycle stages, product usage and behaviors to develop automated and scalable marketing programs
- Oversee end-to-end development and management of lifecycle marketing campaigns across channels (email, push, in-app, etc), including strategy, A/B testing, campaign development, reporting, and optimization
- Measure and communicate performance and impact of marketing programs
Our take
Wealthfront's platform takes the hassle and stress out of investing, financial planning, borrowing, and saving with automated services and financial advice. Its robo-advisor allows customers to set a financial limit on their accounts, anything above the limit is moved into an investment account or another account chosen by the customer.
Indeed, it has some similarities to round-up apps like Acorn, which round up purchases and put the spare change into savings. There are other companies working on robo-advisors too, such as Morgan Stanley and Betterment.
Nonetheless, with an impressive and steadily increasing list of clients, with more than $50B of assets under its management, Wealthfront achieved Unicorn status in September 2022. Wealthfront is diversifying its offerings, branching into high-interest checking accounts and investment advice.
