Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role
- Ideally your experience has been gained in SaaS, scale-ups, or other fast-paced environments where you had the opportunity to build and shape the finance function
- A leader who cultivates talent, fosters growth, and builds high-performing teams
- Strong background in FP&A, accounting, and financial operations as well as building out reporting and business intelligence systems
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach - comfortable switching between big-picture strategy and detailed execution
- Experienced in international finance, multi-entity accounting, and compliance
- Ideally experience with managing investors and orchestrating funding rounds (Venture Capital, Private Equity, etc.)
- Skilled communicator, able to influence cross-functional stakeholders with clarity and impact
- Experience building and maintaining a modern and efficient finance tech stack. Strong bias for automation and data integrity
- Passionate about technology, innovation, and building sustainable business practices
What the job involves
- Lead and develop Prewave’s finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support company growth
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and audit readiness
- Partner with the Founders and leadership team to shape strategic decisions with financial insights
- Optimise cash flow management and oversee treasury, working capital, and funding requirements
- Build scalable finance processes and systems as the company expands
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Business Operations teams to ensure financial best practices across the organisation
- Support fundraising activities and investor relations when required

Supply chain disruptions and the shifting sands of regulation mean that business transport logistics are now more complicated than ever. In response, Prewave has built a solution to help make supply chains more compliant and resilient through AI-powered risk identification and management.
Prewave’s logistics solution uses automated mapping, scoring and monitoring to process data across 400 languages, assessing risk factors for companies' supply routes. Its platform offers real-time alerts and recommended actions, covering all steps in the risk lifecycle of logistics.
Prewave plans to use its most recent round of funding to break into the US market. This is no small undertaking, with competitors such as Everstream and Overhaul firmly rooted in the country. However, Prewave has a solid customer base - counting Dr Oetker, Lufthansa and Ferrari as clients - and tripled its growth in 2023, which bodes well for its US efforts.
