Who you are
- Undergraduate degree and 3+ years of experience within Payments, Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services
- Proven experience supporting or leading cross-functional project execution
- Strong understanding of payments operations, banking infrastructure, and payment life cycles
- Demonstrated experience with incident management and operational troubleshooting
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
What the job involves
- The Payment Operations Specialist, Infrastructure and Network Enablement will lead the successful execution of strategic payment initiatives while driving operational excellence across Flywire’s global payment network
- The role is accountable for end-to-end project delivery, incident management, partner/bank performance and operational governance, ensuring payment capabilities are delivered safely, efficiently and at scale
- The successful candidate will work across Product, Engineering, Treasury, Network, Compliance and Operations to drive execution, remove blockers and continuously improve operational performance
- Drive the successful execution of strategic payment initiatives from planning through production, ensuring operational readiness and cross-functional alignment
- Coordinate execution across Product, Network, Treasury, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery
- Manage project dependencies, track milestones, and identify risks to project timelines
- Provide regular, concise status updates to stakeholders, highlighting potential blockers and proposed solutions
- Contribute to operational readiness plans for new markets, products, and payment capabilities
- Support the incident management framework across Operations
- Contribute to major incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to minimize recurrence
- Track operational metrics such as incident resolution time and SLA adherence
- Assist in the governance of payment partners and banking relationships
- Help develop and maintain partner/bank scorecards measuring reliability, performance, and operational quality
- Identify and document network optimization opportunities to support team strategy
- Influence effectively across global stakeholders to drive operational progress
- Communicate clear, data-driven updates regarding operational performance
