What the job involves
- Reporting to the Director of Design & User Experience, you'll be joining a team guided by a seasoned leader renowned for pioneering innovation and fostering a culture of excellence

- Together, you will strategize, execute, and continuously refine our product design, ensuring that it not only meets but exceeds user expectations
- By working closely with the Director, you'll be in the prime position to make significant contributions, influence decision-making, and shape the future direction of our design and user experience initiatives
- Create cutting edge experiences: Design UI and UX flows in Figma using the tool’s latest features
- Systematize Creativity: Apply a methodical approach to design, cleverly reusing existing concepts while considering the engineering implications
- Be the Guardian of Design Integrity: Ensure every new product and feature rolls out in alignment with your designs, offering detailed feedback to engineering pre-launch
- Turn Data into working solutions: Harness data-driven insights to sculpt your designs, even if it involves complex analyses, user and A/B testing
- Unite and Conquer: Join forces with Developers, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales and Customer Success to educate, absorb and reflect the varied needs of our user groups
- Iterate & Innovate: Embrace feedback from stakeholders and data to continuously refine and reimagine your designs

Our take
Leap Tools is an AR visualization platform that helps retail customers visualize the products they want to buy within their own homes. Using augmented reality, it purports to increase eCommerce conversion rates by five times and increase web transactions by 10%.
Through its visualization app Roomvo, Leap Tools is able to show what products - mainly homeware and furniture - will look like alongside people's other possessions. The idea is to turn potential customers to real customers because they don't have to rely on their imagination.
This simple solution solves a leading problem in eCommerce at a time when the majority of all shopping journeys begin, if not end, online. Leap Tools made its way onto Deloitte’s Fast 500 and Fast 50 for Canada in 2022, indicating a real interest in the product visualization software.
