Who you are

Successfully completed training as a technical writer, skilled worker or technician (electrical engineering or comparable) with appropriate further training
Ideally experience in the technical documentation of SaaS applications, software products or embedded devices (ideally CAN and CANopen products)
Good technical understanding
Good, comprehensible way of expression
Careful, structured and independent working style
Confident handling of version management systems such as GitHub
Ideally experience in creating documentation with MkDocs or similar systems
Self-organization and willingness to learn
Fluency in written and spoken German and English

What the job involves

We are looking for you as Junior Technical Writer (gn) to join our Customer Care Team for our headquartes in Fulda, Germany or remote in Germany (with occasional onsite days) during parental leave
You create documentation for DataPlatform, hardware and software
You research information from Product Management, Developers and FAEs
You coordinate upcoming tasks independently
You maintain the Proemion Documentation Library
You maintain the Proemion Documentation Chat Bot
You write and publish application notes

Our take

Proemion builds products to digitise machinery, and offers a range of connectivity solutions to allow manufacturers to operate, monitor and gather performance data on machines that they control remotely. Amongst its customers are major original equipment manufacturers Liebherr, CLAAS and KAISER.

Given its product focus, you’d be forgiven for assuming that Proemion is a disruptive industry 4.0 startup. This isn’t the case at all however, with the company dating back to 1987 and still remaining family-owned. It’s an impressive feat that it’s stayed ahead of the curve, and in its own way pioneered the digital evolution of its industry.

The company is showing no signs of complacency in a market that’s ripe with opportunity at the moment, and secured major growth funding in 2022. Proemion continues to pursue further global expansion, building on an established presence in Germany, South Korea and the US.
