Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a talent for copy and design, and loves working on a variety of campaigns
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and adapt messaging to different audiences
- Content Creation: Exceptional attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with proven ability to produce clean, professional, and engaging content
- Design Proficiency: Experience using design tools such as Figma (or similar platforms) to create or update campaign materials
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, including SEO, PPC, social media advertising, and email marketing best practices
- Social Media & Email Tools: Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot)
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret basic marketing metrics and apply insights to optimize campaigns
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proactive Attitude: A self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt to various aspects of marketing
- Required: Degree in marketing or equivalent experience
- Healthcare Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with healthcare marketing or experience working in a patient-focused industry is a plus but not required
What the job involves
- We are seeking a motivated Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic patient marketing team
- This is a contract role that will support various marketing initiatives, including social, display and search campaigns, email outreach and advocacy efforts, and is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a positive mission
- Collaborate closely with marketing managers to align on campaign goals, strategies, and key messaging
- Translate marketing strategies into polished, on-brand copy and visually engaging design updates
- Assist in the development, execution, and tracking of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including social media, display ads, email outreach, and search engine advertising
- Support the creation and optimization of engaging content for social media platforms, email newsletters, website updates, and advocacy partner collaborations
- Conduct basic research to identify trends, audience insights, and opportunities to improve campaign performance
- Assist with the analysis of campaign metrics and provide actionable insights to enhance outcomes
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure campaigns are executed on schedule
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including organizing assets, scheduling content, and tracking project progress
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing collateral and communication channels
- Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
Our take
Picnic Health was born out of the frustration felt by founder Noga Leviner; a Crohn’s Disease patient who struggled to keep healthcare professionals in the loop regarding her health. She created the company to fix a broken system, making it easier for patients to access and manage their own medical health records and coordinate their own care.
Tens of thousands of patients now use the system. In addition, the company allows patients to consent to sharing their de-identified medical history to contribute to external research of their conditions, with the company currently supporting research in over a dozen diseases.
Early in 2023, Picnic Health formed a partnership with pharma giant Roche help utilize Picnic Health's datasets for Alzheimer's Disease and related conditions. This will enable Roche's research teams to better understand disease progression and develop treatments at each stage of the illness. In addition to this partnership, Picnic Health has raised a significant amount of capital and is deploying this to further its innovative work of using machine learning and human curation to absorb complete records into its system.
