Senior FP&A Analyst, Waymo

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field
• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a highly analytical role
• Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders

• Report into our Head of Business Finance
• Develop, maintain, and enhance intricate Cost of Sales financial models, to support long-range planning, annual plan, and robust scenario analysis; deliver a comprehensive suite of Cost of Sales reporting, including detailed Actual vs. Plan vs. Forecasts variance analysis
• Lead critical analysis for strategic initiatives, such as tracking market entry costs against plan to ensure successful and financially sound expansion
• Work closely with other FP&A partners to prepare the detailed Market P&L reporting and review presentations, align with xfn teams on the messaging and review contents to drive actions
• Take ownership of identifying and resolving systemic reconciliation issues, to ensure financial data integrity
• Champion reporting and analysis process improvement by automating manual work through dashboarding and scripting, actively shifting the team's focus from tactical execution to generating non-obvious, strategic insights
