Who you are

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, or similar graphic design software
Strong understanding of design principles and experience in animation and motion graphics
Experience working on various gaming marketing campaigns
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be PC literate and possess a collaborative mindset to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

What the job involves

We are seeking a passionate and creative Marketing Artist to support the launch of an exciting new PC game
This is a six-month contract role with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time position
Create and refine engaging visual content for various marketing and community campaigns, including banners, splash screens, and animated graphics to be used on various social media channels, website, online store
Strong focus on creating eye catching marketing assets, for use in social media and community initiatives
Collaborate with the art director to make informed creative decisions and execute concepts efficiently
Enhance existing logos and visuals with special effects and animations
Conduct in-game capture and perform touch-ups and photo bashing to produce high-quality imagery
Create from scratch, on-trend meme focused imagery
Create marketing “posters” to publicise events and distill information
Work hands-on to ensure all projects meet company standards and deadlines

Our take

Founded in 2016 by a pair of former Zynga and EA game developers, Manticore Games is best known for being the developer of Core, a heavily funded and increasingly popular game creation and discovery platform for iOS and the Metaverse.

In theory, Core is fairly similar to the likes of Roblox and RecRoom, but is geared much more towards “older” users aged fourteen and above. Despite only launching in 2021, Core’s numbers thus far have been extremely impressive, with three million players in the first year alone as well as tens of thousands of games and creators.

Considering that the Metaverse gaming market is expanding, it’s easy to see why investors are pouring money into the space. Manticore Games has benefited greatly from this, and having already expanded its headcount to triple figures, is showing no signs of slowing down while the market is this lucrative.
