What the job involves
- As one of our first few sales hires, you’ll work alongside the Head of Revenue and GTM Lead to manage and shape Stytch’s sales processes—with a keen focus on new business
- Our Sales Team is responsible for growing all new business at Stytch
- You will be tasked with responding to inbound interest and developing creative outbound strategies to showcase the benefits of going passwordless to companies
- You will play a critical role in shaping Stytch’s product roadmap through clearly-communicated feedback from prospects and customers
- This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, where you’ll partner closely with Marketing, Design and Developer Relations
- Achieve and exceed your monthly metrics of booking qualified meetings and creating viable sales opportunities. The best of these opportunities become Stytch customers
- Form a close partnership with our AEs to ensure a seamless sales process
- Qualify (and disqualify) leads for the sales team, so those leads become opportunities
- Meet and exceed daily expectations of outreach via phone and email
- Share feedback with marketing and sales organizations, to ensure processes are optimized
- Manage and maintain data integrity in Salesforce
- Ownership — advocate for projects and processes that you believe in and help us bring those solutions to life
- Customer Acquisition — run a consultative process from start to finish that drive towards swift outcomes
- Communication -- you are a strong communicator with exceptional organizational skills
Our take
Passwords don’t typically offer the levels of security they once did, and we need more of them than ever - leading to poor security practices and a huge volume of subsequent data breaches. Some startups have emerged to help manage them; Stytch, however, is part of a growing cohort looking to cut them out entirely.
The idea is to make navigating digital space frictionless. To this end, Stytch has developed an out-of-the-box, easy-to-deploy version of about a dozen passwordless authentication solutions. It has seen a sharper increase in users and funding than rival startups like Magic, which it puts down to an API-first product, which is less limiting in its application than the widgets we’ve seen developed by earlier entrants to the space.
That alone, however, won’t be enough to push it ahead of other highly successful innovators in the space. Transmit Security has received record-breaking backing for its biometrics-led approach. This goes to show how far the market is betting on a passwordless future, and Stytch's acquisition by customer engagement platform Twilio exemplifies this trend.
