Who you are
- Experienced with 3+ years of working in an engineering organization leading technical programs/projects
- Able to maintain a strategic view of our software engineering process even while executing on the minutiae of everyday development
- Able to partner with technical stakeholders in methodically breaking down engineering challenges
- Able to participate in technical discussions and summarize outcomes and next steps
- Skilled at communicating across a diverse set of engineers and stakeholders
- Hyper-organized and capable of juggling all the data associated with projects and task-tracking
- Knowledgeable of and experienced with implementing agile development best practices
- A role model for effective execution practices, driven by an attuned sense of priority and urgency
- Experienced in successfully delivering complex cross-functional projects
- Experienced in gathering process pain points from team members and stakeholders and devising solutions to address them
- Trained in working with project tracking software (e.g. Jira, Rally, MS Project)
- Familiar with MongoDB or a comparable technology
- Interested in business automation work such as scripting in Python, Google Apps Script and Slack
- Leverage technical acumen and analytical skills to drive engineering programs forward and maximize business value delivery
- Recognize patterns in a sea of information and take action accordingly
- Design, maintain, and improve the processes and tools that power our engineering operations
- Build strategic partnerships with Product and Engineering stakeholders

What the job involves
- As a Technical Program Manager for Atlas Device Sync, you will oversee delivery across teams building solutions that streamline the developer experience for syncing data between mobile devices and the cloud in real-time
- You will own processes that unlock rapid iteration, ensuring the team proceeds smoothly from ideation through to release and during every step in between
- This position is based out of our New York City office, with the possibility of working from another MongoDB office or remotely for the right candidate

MongoDB is an open-source, cross-platform, document-oriented database system. It stores data as JSON-like documents and is written in C++, Go, JavaScript and Python.
Essentially, the company develops tools and blueprints to help businesses and organisations modernise their legacy applications, migrating them to the MongoDB database and the MongoDB Atlas cloud database. With this initiative, MongoDB is particularly taking aim at Oracle customers with ageing applications running on the Oracle relational database system.
Since its release, MongoDB has become one of the most popularly used NoSQL database systems due to its ease of use and efficiency. It is also the fastest-growing database ecosystem, and boasts hundreds of millions of downloads. Recently, the company announced a partnership with Patronus AI, an automated evaluation and security platform, through which it will bring automated LLM evaluation and testing capabilities to enterprise customers.
