Role

Who you are

  • You will be a highly analytical and detail-oriented Analytics Lead with an initial focus on growth of our subscription program but maintaining flexibility to adapt as the Loyalty team’s goals and business needs evolve
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant role
  • Strong experience in data analytics
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, GA4
  • Proficiency in Python (preferred)/R
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels
  • Previous experience working as an analyst within Commercial, Finance or Marketing
  • Creative thinking with a track record of driving adoption of new ideas and concepts, and pioneering new approaches within the team
  • Experience working on e-commerce businesses or equivalent industries
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence C-suite level stakeholders

What the job involves

  • This role will act as a thought partner, collaborating closely with key stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Product, and CRM to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment across the organisation
  • Subscription Profitability and other Performance Analysis
  • Understand the subscription profitability model and help identify key growth drivers
  • Monitor and define trajectory for subscription KPIs, generating reports on customer behaviour and program efficiency
  • Track subscription trends, ensuring data accuracy and timely insights for management
  • Familiarise, own and Improve the Subscription lookalike model
  • Extend the lookalike model to other relevant metrics (ie AOV)
  • Understand current performance and drivers of loyalty
  • A/B Testing and Customer Insights
  • Design, execute, and report on A/B tests to optimise subscription offerings, pricing, and customer engagement strategies
  • Analyse customer behaviour to identify core user profiles, driving actionable insights for subscription marketing and retention initiatives
  • Data Consistency and BI Integration
  • Work with Business Intelligence to ensure subscription data is available, accurate, and presented within accessible dashboards
  • Serve as the reference point for all subscription-related metrics, definitions, and reports across the organisation
  • Establish and maintain standardised definitions for subscription metrics in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ensure all data, analyses, and reports are stored in an organised, accessible format, with clear and thorough documentation of methodologies
  • Create and maintain documentation that enables smooth knowledge transfer and continuity, ensuring that all Business Analytics team members can access and understand subscription-related insights and processes, especially during periods of absence
  • Foster a culture of transparency and knowledge sharing within the wider Business Analytics team, allowing for efficient handover and reducing dependency on any single team member
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Thought Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Commercial, Product, and CRM teams to align subscription data and analytics with business objectives
  • Act as a thought partner for future testing and promotional activities, proactively providing insights and recommendations
  • Ensure the subscription model and data are integrated into broader business intelligence and analytics initiatives
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with stakeholders, safeguarding sensitive data and business insights
  • Build trust with cross-functional partners by consistently delivering accurate and reliable information, fostering a respectful and collaborative environment
  • Upward Management and Communication
  • Proactively manage upward by keeping the direct manager fully informed on all key activities, performance metrics, and developments within the loyalty and subscription space
  • Cultivate a strong, collaborative relationship with the manager, seeking their expertise and critical perspective to ensure the quality and rigor of high-visibility deliverables
  • Regularly provide updates, insights, and reports to enable informed decision-making and strategic alignment across the loyalty function

Our take

When Moonpig was founded in 2000, it bought into the idea that a personalised gift is always more meaningful, whether sent from the sofa, the commute, or the gym. Customers quickly bought into this vision, and Moonpig saw rapid growth culminating in its 2011 acquisition by Photobox for £120M.

Since then, Moonpig has seen continued success. Through expansion into new products such as flowers (Moonpig is now a top-3 online flower seller) and the development of its own app, Moonpig has established its place within the market for personalised gifts.

And it doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon, as it looks to expand even further. Recent innovations have included the introduction of giant cards, and the company has also secured the ability to create exclusively branded ranges alongside Disney and Warner Brothers. This commitment to innovation positions Moonpig to capture even more market share and strengthen its leadership in the industry.
