Who you are
- This internship is perfect for a data-driven student passionate about operational analysis and customer experience, eager to learn in a fast-paced, tech-savvy environment
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related field (Bachelor’s/Master’s level)
- Interest in data visualization and BI tools (GoodData, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Basic SQL knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
- Curiosity, analytical mindset, and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills (English and French)
- Customer-focused attitude and eagerness to learn
Desirable
- Understanding of airport operational KPIs (wait times, resource utilization)
- Interest in generative AI or SaaS solutions
What the job involves
- As part of the Customer Success team, you will work closely with our Customer Value & Analytics Specialist to help customers maximize the value of the Shift PFM platform.
- Your mission: turn data into actionable insights, support dashboard creation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our analytics solutions.
- 1. Data Analysis & Visualization Support
- Assist in designing and updating dashboards (Live View, Insights Module) for airport customers using tools like GoodData
- Participate in analyzing historical data to identify trends and improvement opportunities (e.g., wait times, passenger flow)
- Help configure KPI-based alerts for real-time monitoring
- 2. Standardization & Documentation
- Contribute to creating reusable templates (reports, dashboard configurations) to accelerate customer deployments
- Document best practices and customer feedback to enrich our internal knowledge base
- 3. Collaboration & Training
- Work with Field Application Engineers and Sales Engineers to understand customer needs and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Assist in preparing training materials and user guides for customer enablement
- 4. Voice of the Customer
- Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product roadmap decisions
- Support the preparation of client review presentations and materials
- Customer Onboarding: Assist in onboarding new customers, ensuring they understand our product and its value
- Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when necessary to ensure timely resolution
- Data Analysis: Monitor customer health scores, usage metrics, and feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaboration: Work with Sales and Product teams to communicate customer needs and contribute to product enhancements
- Documentation: Help create and update customer-facing materials, such as FAQs, guides, and training resources
- Feedback Loop: Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform internal teams and improve the overall customer experience
- Projects: Participate in special projects aimed at improving customer engagement, retention, and satisfaction
Our take
Outsight has combined the software assets of its parent company Dibotics with 3D sensor technology to create a LiDAR pre-processor designed to help make smarter, safer vehicles, and add spatial AI to buildings like stores and airports. Importantly, however, Outsight’s business model is focused on providing a simpler plug-and-play LiDAR solution, to close the gap between LiDAR early adopters and the mainstream market.
Helping more companies easily tap into LiDAR’s full situational awareness capabilities in our growing network of interconnected, smart environments is likely to prove a winning strategy for Outsight going forward. And already, the company has proven attractive to international clients across a number of highly lucrative fields including industrial automation, driverless cars, and drones.
Outsight has carved out a niche for itself, attracting a solid client base as the industry embraces new technologies. In a significant development, the company was acquired by Billups, a leading NYC-based OOH managed services agency, in a deal that expanded Billups' global presence to 16 countries. This acquisition strengthens Outsight's industrial edge and cloud application offerings, opening up exciting new opportunities for growth and innovation within the company.
