Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of proven experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineer, Technical Sales, or similar
- Strong understanding of AI, Security and SaaS technologies relevant to the GenerativeAI market is preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with all levels of the organization
- Growth mindset - ability to step in and lead in a Startup/Series A stage tech company

- High level of empathy and the ability to listen to and understand customer needs

- By merging technical acuity with strategic sales techniques, you will illuminate the path for our clients, guiding them through the technical landscape to achieve their business objectives
- Whether you're collaborating with internal teams to refine product offerings or engaging directly with clients to resolve their most pressing challenges, your role as a Solutions Engineer is critical to our mission of delivering exceptional value and transforming how businesses operate
- Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions that help customers to accelerate critical business outcomes with AI
- Partner with Account Executives to drive sales by leveraging your technical expertise
- Work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive customer experience. Form a bridge from our engineering and product organization to our customers and prospects
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor to both current and prospective customers, understanding their needs and recommending suitable solutions
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that clearly articulate the value and uniqueness of our solutions
- Support field marketing events by representing the company and showcasing our solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and the competitive landscape to effectively position our solutions
Our take
AI presents algorithmic solutions for improving the efficiency of just about every tech company's operations, but the potential for machine learning security breaches prevents approximately 85% of AI projects from being deployed. This is particularly significant when it comes to military uses of AI, yet machine learning lacks a universal framework for testing, reporting, and auditing.
Calypso AI develops software tools and features that facilitate the testing, risk management, auditing, and ultimately validation of machine learning algorithms for AI creators and consumers. The aim of the company is to ultimately increase the speed at which AI projects can be moved from experiments to deployment through no-code dashboards, human-in-the-loop interventions, and real-world testing features within the CalypsoAI toolkit.
Many SaaS startups are applying AI to increase the efficiencies of innovative technologies such as cloud computing and IoT, but unlike Calypso AI, few have tackled the root problem of the cybersecurity of AI algorithms. Off the back of 2025 funding, the company is planning to accelerate its scale-up and expand its reach.
