Who you are

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering
Proven experience in designing and scaling web applications, ideally with expertise in full-stack development
Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech or logistics-related technologies is a strong advantage
Proficiency in front-end and back-end development (e.g., JavaScript, Python, node.js, .net etc.)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong sense of ownership & ability to work in fast-paced startup environment

What the job involves

As the Lead Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining and executing the technical roadmap for DELLI, establishing development standards, and making strategic decisions to shape our platform’s future
You’ll work closely with the founders and other key stakeholders to ensure our technical infrastructure supports seamless growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional user experiences
Develop and drive the technical vision for DELLI, aligning it with broader business goals
Lead architecture and infrastructure decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across our platform
Research and implement emerging technologies that enhance user experience and product development efficiency
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering an innovative and collaborative environment
Define and enforce coding standards and best practices across the engineering team
Conduct regular code reviews and manage performance assessments
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions
Oversee end-to-end development processes, from ideation through deployment, ensuring timely delivery of key features
Ensure the development of a user-centered, intuitive, and high-performing platform that reflects DELLI’s mission
Design and implement a robust, scalable, and secure system architecture for web and mobile applications
Oversee database management, API design, and integrations with third-party services
Prioritize data privacy, security compliance, and risk management across all systems
Establish metrics to monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize code and infrastructure
Implement testing frameworks and automated processes to ensure reliability and maintain high product standards
Manage system monitoring, error tracking, and prompt bug fixes to support a smooth user experience
Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning with tools like Terraform or Ansible, and manage cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalability and reliability
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform stability, optimize system performance, and enhance security through best practices for encryption, access control, and data protection
