Who you are
- We are looking for a talented and ambitious person to join the team
- The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, analytical, and comfortable translating between executives, engineers, and external partners
- 5+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, product, or growth at a high-growth SaaS, platform, or marketplace company
- High agency & bias for action: You thrive in ambiguity and are able to juggle multiple work streams. You have a track record of delivering impactful and growth driving partnerships
- Executional excellence: You have demonstrated end-to-end deal execution experience including negotiation and cross-functional launch management
- Analytical fluency: You are comfortable turning data into insights that help inform our tactical and strategic approach
- Exceptional communication skills: You can tell a clear and compelling story in decks, docs and in person

- You love the Notion product and are excited about the possibilities of the Notion platform
- You've been an early business development, go to market or product hire at a fast growing start up before
- You are at home discussing APIs, integrations, and developer ecosystems
- You’ve had exposure to partnerships across multiple regions (North America, EMEA, APAC)
What the job involves
- At Notion, the BD team accelerates distribution of our products and and drives growth for our platform through strategic partnerships
- This role has the scope to create massive impact for Notion as we sit at this exciting and crucial moment in the company’s journey
- We are looking for someone to help source distribution opportunities, deepen integration partnerships and model the impact that keeps us focused on the highest-leverage bets
- The role reports to the Head of BD and will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to bring deals from first pitch through launch and beyond
- Accelerate growth partnerships: Source, evaluate, and close distribution or bundling deals that expand Notion’s top-of-funnel
- Scale the Notion platform: Work with Notion and partner engineering teams to scope and launch strategic integrations, and coordinate co-marketing that spotlights partner stories and advances Notion’s positioning as a connected workspace
- Own end-to-end execution: Project-manage deals with partners across engineering, product, marketing, legal and finance from negotiation through launch and post-launch performance reviews
- Shape partner strategy: Identify, analyze and prioritize new partnership opportunities and keep people aligned on roadmap and go-to-market plans

Notion aims to combat this problem by enabling users to work from one central hub, customizing their workflows to suit their exact needs. This includes managing files, scheduling tasks, saving documents, writing to-do-lists, and setting reminders.
The company counts enterprise companies such as McDonald’s, The Wall Street Journal, Verizon, Samsung, and IBM as its customers. In spite of economic uncertainty, Notion reached a $2 billion valuation in 2020, helped by record signups as more people were forced to work from home. Its value has since risen to over 5 times this value, an impressive reflection of its success.
The company has made a number of strategic acquisitions that, coupled with its enormous market value and enviable customer list, have Notion well-placed to continue dominating the market. That being said, the launch of Microsoft-built competitor Loop at the end of 2023 will put Notion's market dominance to the test.
