Who you are
- 3-5 years of experience in digital advertising sales, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Deep knowledge of the tech landscape, with existing client and agency relationships preferred
- Comfort discussing both branded storytelling and data-driven media strategies, with familiarity across programmatic solutions

- Business Insider is hiring an Account Executive, Growth Tech to join our Revenue team to lead and grow strategic relationships across high-profile technology, gaming and electronics partners

- This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and working collaboratively to turn ideas into meaningful partnerships. The portfolio is focused on high-potential accounts with significant room to grow, offering the chance to shape new relationships and expand existing ones across video, CTV, events, custom storytelling, and emerging formats

- The Account Executive reports directly to the Managing Director, Growth Tech and sits on the Growth Tech Vertical within the Revenue organization. This position is open to candidates located in either NYC or San Francisco
- Lead both day-to-day and long-term relationships with technology, telecom, electronics, and gaming brands, translating business objectives into thoughtful, high-performing marketing programs
- Develop and present full-funnel solutions across Business Insider’s suite of offerings, including branded content, video, programmatic, data-driven media, and events
- Manage a portfolio that includes both established and emerging accounts, with the support and runway to grow relationships over time
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Studios, Media Planning, and Client Services to bring ideas to life and deliver on execution
- Serve as a true partner to clients, advising, educating, and problem-solving to help them innovate and succeed in the market
- Use Salesforce to manage pipeline, forecasting, and performance tracking with consistency and accuracy
- Act as an ambassador for Business Insider both internally and externally showing up with energy, professionalism, and insight
- Hit or exceed revenue targets, and help shape the future of how Business Insider shows up in the tech space

Business Insider - that entered the market at roughly the same time as fellow digital news and media names Buzzfeed, Vice, and HuffPost - has steadily and solidly built itself into one of the most familiar digital platforms for business, current affairs, finance and tech news.
Business Insider was founded by well-known trader and entrepreneur Henry Blodget and sold to German giant Axel Springer in 2015, which signalled an uptick in its performance. This undoubtedly helped it to weather the storm of the pandemic, which hit advertisers hard, and saw many platforms like Insider's lose out on their major revenue stream.
