Role
Who you are
- 2+ years as a Software Engineer utilising any technology stack
- Ability to develop full stack solutions at a broad architectural level
- Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and Javascript/Typescript (nice to have)
- A team player, we’re highly collaborative and only want to add to this culture
What the job involves
- Work as part of the Zero Gravity technology team in building core features for Zero Gravity’s products
- Help cement the technical foundations of Zero Gravity tech, help choose best in class solutions to help us keep our technical edge
- Share ideas, best practices and anything you think will help us make our products more effective
- Share in ownership of the code and our systems as a whole, be willing to become one of our internal experts

- Zero Gravity exists to power incredible talent from low-opportunity backgrounds into top universities and careers. This mission is at the core of everything we do, and we only hire people who live and breathe our mission.
- I originally started Zero Gravity from my hometown bedroom in West Yorkshire with the last £200 of my student loan. I come from a single-parent background, went to a state school, and hired my first team member at the age of 22. My own journey has instilled in me a belief that age and background should never be a barrier to advancement!

We’ve built our Zero Gravity culture around empowering top talent from all backgrounds, making Zero Gravity the ultimate meritocracy. 40% of our team members are from socially mobile backgrounds and 57% of our managers are internal promotions.
