Role
Who you are
- 8-12 years of experience in Product Management with experience in B2B SaaS platforms - early-stage startup experience a major plus
- Experience in business process automation
- Experience with CPQ, Subscription Management and Billing a plus
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluency in online technologies and UX
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills both internal and external customer-facing at industry trade shows, customer locations, webinars, etc
- Demonstrated ability to develop products that are innovative and unique leveraging an understanding of the challenges already existing in current products
What the job involves
- Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to create and document product requirements and manage a prioritized backlog
- Translate requirements into features and integrate into our roadmap
- Work closely with Design and Engineering to deliver high quality feature releases
- Analyze and understand customer usage. Meet with them weekly to understand their needs and challenges. Help solve problems for them, collaborating with customer success
- Triage and analyze software defects
- Help develop customer-facing materials that help support customers and win new business
- Monitor and analyze competitive solutions and obsess about our competitive advantages
- Meet with customers and prospects to better understand their needs and opportunities to delight them
Our take
Although the flexibility afforded by software-as-a-service (SaaS) has been one of the main drivers of its uptake, the buying process for this software can be surprisingly restrictive. Most B2B providers insist on pre-payment on lengthy contracts, and this high up-front cost often causes sales to slow down and stall. Enter Cacheflow, a platform which helps to close sales by allowing customers to pay for services monthly, quarterly or with deferred payments. Think of it as a Klarna for SaaS.
By offering a solution to a persistent problem in the SaaS market, Cacheflow has carved itself out a niche with over a dozen customers, mostly startups in the Series A to C funding range. Its continued success will depend on the ease of its integrations into existing sales processes and its ability to take on the financial risk of non-paying customers purchasing services through its platform. So far, its no-code solution and ability to investigate its clients' metrics for default risk has been successful.
It's achieved significant scaling, too, a 2025 acquisition by inbound strategy marketing software leader HubSpot. Eventually, it will be integrated into HubSpot's Commerce Hub product. In the meantime, Cacheflow will continue growing its uptake among larger and more established enterprises in addition to its current customer base.
