Company mission

To enable all people throughout companies around the world to use data by removing friction surrounding data access, cleaning, modeling, deployment, and more.

Role

Who you are

  • You have a significant experience in software engineering
  • You are interested in machine learning and are not afraid of statistics

  • You can mentor less tenured developers, helping them grow both their technical and non-technical skill
  • You are customer-oriented — you want to understand how the product is used and solve actual customer problems

What the job involves

  • Your role will be to add new features or improve existing ones to help our customers use predictive algorithms and put them into production with an intuitive and user-friendly interface, as well as APIs that let coders control and automate all those operations
  • You may also develop some other AI features (think NLP, time series, computer vision, labeling management, etc.) or collaborate with the AI Lab, our research department, to develop cutting edge POCs and experiments on a broad set of emerging machine learning topics
  • Turn ideas or product specifications into full-fledged product features, including unit and end-to-end tests
  • Tackle complex problems that range from performance and scalability to usability, so that complicated machinery look straightforward and simple to use for our users

  • Bring your energy to the team!

Application process

  • Video call with an Engineering Team Lead
  • Technical Assessment to show your skills (Home Test or Live Coding)

Our take

Dataiku was founded on the principle that companies must use data to continuously innovate to succeed in a rapidly evolving ecosystem. As a centralised data platform, Dataiku guides businesses from analytics at scale to enterprise AI. It provides a common ground for data experts and explorers, offering best practices, shortcuts to AI deployment, and a controlled environment.

Customers like Unilever, GE, and Comcast use Dataiku to accelerate growth and innovation by removing roadblocks and enabling faster, smarter work. Despite substantial funding in 2023, Dataiku faced a 20% lower valuation than in 2021, indicating challenges even for successful tech firms. Nonetheless, Dataiku launched its Dataiku 11 platform in 2022, continuing to enhance its offerings.

In 2024, Dataiku announced a strategic alliance with Teragonia, a leading provider of AI solutions for private equity portfolio value creation. This collaboration leverages Dataiku's AI capabilities to enhance Teragonia's real-time analytics and strategic agility, aiming to accelerate revenue growth and profitability for clients. This partnership reflects Teragonia's trust in Dataiku's technology and underscores the platform's ability to democratise data and empower private equity firms to unlock significant value.
