Who you are
- You’re a growth focussed Product Manager motivated by building great product experiences that help us reach the widest audience with our services
- You’re comfortable working with qualitative and quantitative data to inform direction, set goals, and measure the impact of what you’ve shipped
- You’re a fantastic communicator and an even better listener
- Demonstrable experience of turning business goals and user problems into opportunities and roadmaps for your team
- Be super customer focused, empathetic and love talking to users. You’re empathetic and care deeply about solving problems for people at difficult moments in their lives
- Highly analytical and comfortable interpreting data from a variety of sources
- The ability to communicate effectively with developers, designers and other teams to understand constraints, tradeoffs and capabilities
- Experience with presenting stakeholders and functional heads, and joining up different areas of the business related to your product area
Desirable
- You’ve worked on growth in a rapidly scaling company (series B or above)
- Hands on experience with search marketing across pay per click and search engine optimisation
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Growth team and Product guild
- You’ll be playing a key part of creating motivational, accessible, and trustworthy services that deliver peace of mind to thousands of people at a time that truly matters
- You'll be working on a variety of different product problems, from building delightful user experiences to increase conversion rates, tooling for acquisition teams to help boost our rankings, to dashboards to surface the metrics we need to make decisions
- Be responsible for growth and acquisition initiatives across all our services
- Create highly engaging product experiences for users who discover Farewill through search (whether organically or via ads)
- Build tooling for acquisition and marketing teams so that they can self serve
- Communicate brilliantly within your team and the wider company, to keep everyone aligned and moving fast
- Use data from a range of sources to inform decisions, set goals and measure the impact of the work your team ships
- Work with designers, developers, user researchers and stakeholders across the business to identify, prioritise, and solve problems iteratively
- Play a part in our Product Guild, promoting great product practices and shaping how we build product at Farewill
- Share your learnings, wins and failures to help you and the team continually improve

Our take
In the UK, the majority of wills and probates are made by solicitors or will-writing firms. However, these are often extremely expensive and not affordable for most people.
A growing number of DIY will services have popped up over the last few years, but most have poor user experience and no real support beyond the form itself. Customers are required to read 10-20 pages of legal documents and decide what applies to them. Farewill's technology asks simple questions and generates legal text. Wills are important legal documents, and so each will is still checked by a specialist. Customers to date have raised hundreds of millions of pounds in charity by leaving a gift in their will.
A competitor in the US (Willing) has taken the freemium route, referring customers to funeral services to make money. However, Farewill believes it can provide a better experience if the product is paid for. Farewell is also partnering with UK companies to provide the service as a perk to their employees, a novel distribution method.
Since launching in 2015, the company has also delved into funeral services. By blending smart technology, Farewill prides itself in dealing with all aspects of death and is committed to making this process faster and fairer for people all over the UK.
