Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent and 2-4 years experience in and Human Resources,People Operations, or Benefits administrative role
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with Mac or PC, MS Office Suite, Google Suite
- Strong analytical skills
- Trustworthy with data protection and confidentiality
- Experience with HRIS’s a must, Workday experience is required
- Strong comfort with numerous systems including ATS, HRIS, LMS, ticketing systems and other technology systems a must
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
What the job involves
- Manage new hire onboarding process including initiating background checks, sending start Information and welcome communications, Workday profile set up, and electronic file management
- Offering support to employees with their Open Enrollment in Workday
- Partner with IT to provide new hire hardware and software needs in a timely manner
- Liaison between recruitment, managers, IT, LP and other departments to ensure a smooth new hire onboarding process
- Conduct Day 1 Welcome meetings with new hires weekly and virtually
- Manage the mail at the HQ/SF office
- Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification via E-Verify
- Process employee status changes and updates in Workday in a timely manner including promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, office locations and others as necessary
- Be the first point of contact for employees on HR related inquiries or requests including answering questions about benefits, payroll, Workday, background checks, company policies; and manage tier 1 and tier 2 People and Benefit matters
- Provide support for off-boarding and termination actions including sending termination documentation packets and partnering with IT and LP to offboarding employee system access
- Liaison between People Ops, PeopleTech, People Business Partners and Benefits team to ensure a smooth new hire onboarding and off-boarding processes
- Support respective People Business Partners on People initiatives, and /or Benefits team with Health and Wellness programs; and / or PeopleTech with any technology updates
- Be Workday superuser and support system inquiries from People team, managers and employees directly
- Enhance workflow and cross departmental engagements and initiatives
- Recommend and update procedures to improve operational performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders on project and issue resolution
- Keep updated knowledge on regulations, policies and procedures

Also, there have been forward-thinking approaches to customer acquisition and retention such as AI pricing and fake finding. Regardless, as a primarily retail-based company, The RealReal was affected by inflation in 2023 and made a 7% cut to its workforce to reduce operational costs in the first quarter. 2024 Q1 also showed the company to report a loss with an optimistic hope for growth in the following quarters.
