Who you are
- You are a creative, detail-oriented designer with a passion for growth-focused product design
- You bring extensive experience in web and mobile design and understand the intricacies of iOS and Android
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and lead projects that balance rapid experimentation with high-quality results
- 5+ years in user interface design, focusing on consumer products
- Expertise in growth and acquisition design, particularly for mobile apps and web optimization
- Deep understanding of Apple and Android design conventions
- Strong experience with Figma and other design/animation tools
- Proven track record in optimizing conversion-focused flows, such as landing pages and sign-up/paywall flows
- Proactive collaborator and communicator, comfortable with cross-functional teams
- Experience presenting design strategies and advocating for decisions at the leadership level
- Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with a passion for impactful design and a strong track record in user-centered experiences that drive business growth
- You’ll shape experiences across our web and mobile platforms, from early concepts to final features, working closely with UX research, product, and development teams
- You will also optimize our commercial website, landing pages, sign-up flows, and paywalls, directly enhancing the user journey and conversion rates
- Design user-centric, acquisition-focused experiences that drive growth across web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with product managers, UX researchers, and data teams to validate hypotheses and improve designs based on data insights
- Optimize commercial website elements, including landing pages, sign-up flows, and paywalls, to enhance user acquisition and conversions
- Evolve our design system and processes to maintain consistency, clarity, and scalability
- Support product discovery and ideation phases, exploring future features and growth opportunities
- Become an essential part of our "Pathfinder" squad, dedicated to optimizing acquisition and conversion flows and delivering an exceptional onboarding experience for new listeners entering the world of podcasts and audiobooks
Our take
Podcasting and audiobook listening has become and increasingly popular past-time for many. The flexibility of listening to podcasts while doing other activities simultaneously is driving the market growth. Podimo is a podcast and audiobook platform taking the Nordic Countries by storm with its service.
The company boasts its close connection with the creators it hosts on its platform, suggesting a healthy and appealing work relationship for creators to continue using Podimo as its host (an issue Spotify has had multiple times). The company's revenue-share model is not based on the size of following which gives the company a big boost up in the newer podcasters books.
Since founding in 2019 the company has grown to 220+ employees across 20+ different countries and was named the fastest growing podcast service in Finland. With Apple, Spotify and Google it’s easy to think smaller companies don’t have much chance, but Podimo is standing its ground in the Podcast sector and taking on big-name creators. We’re excited to see what the recent round of funding will be put toward as Podimo expands and further challenges it’s competitors.
