Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in recruiting, hr, or sales
- 1+ years of sourcing experience, in-house or agency
- Deep understanding of recent market and tech trends, preferably in the AI and ML domains
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade candidates
- Highly resourceful, independent, and self-motivated with a track record of successfully identifying and attracting top talent
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and a passion for contributing to a positive team culture
- A growth mindset and truly flexible, you can shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change
- Strong analytical skills - you'll build a system to track sourcing metrics and draw actionable insights

What the job involves
- We are looking for a driven Technical Sourcer to play a critical role in identifying, engaging, and recruiting the best AI and ML talent in the industry
- You will be instrumental to our talent acquisition strategy, using your resourcefulness and independence to find innovative ways to attract top candidates
- This position requires a team player who can collaborate effectively with hiring managers and dynamic recruiters to ensure a seamless recruitment process

- Our recruiting team is small, talented, and mighty so this Contract Sourcer must excel in a past-paced environment with autonomy, accountability, and agency
- Talent Identification: Proactively source and identify top AI and ML talent using various channels, including social media, job boards, professional networks, and industry events
- Candidate Engagement: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of passive and active candidates through effective communication and relationship-building techniques
- Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers and the HR team to understand specific job requirements, team dynamics, and long-term hiring needs
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging technologies to continually refine sourcing strategies
- Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives by implementing strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, pipeline status, and sourcing metrics to provide regular updates to the Talent Acquisition team
Our take
AnyScale is a platform facilitating the development of distributed applications with high computing demands on its Ray platform. It answers an increasing requirement for higher-level tech strategies among companies which are incorporating AI and machine learning into their products, and a similarly broad and growing demand for easier access to cloud programming.
AnyScale launched its first commercial offering in 2021, and intends to continue developing products that will lower the skill and resource threshold for cloud programming. In 2023 it released Aviary, a project to simplify open-source large language model (LLM) deployment. What is promising, and lucrative, about its proposition is that it offers a general-use distributed system, this sidesteps the cumbersome process of stitching together disparate distributed systems, previously a requirement for novel applications. It is currently finding use in a range of applications such as supply chain, environmental restoration and retail by organisations including Amazon and Uber.
Anyscape has raised considerable funding led by Andreessen Horowitz and Addition. This is being used to scale its team and further develop the Ray platform. As the demand for AI apps rapidly increases, Anyscape is poised to disrupt a $13 trillion market.
