Who you are

You are entrepreneurial and collaborative, bringing a track record of success across a wide variety of skills including financial modeling, investor communications, strategic thinking and building partnerships
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field with a strong academic record
3-5 years of experience in buy-side, sell-side research, in-house corporate development, and/or investor relations
CFA strongly preferred
Ability to create sophisticated, Board-level financial models and presentation materials
Effective decision-maker with the ability to think analytically
Strong communication skills, both written and oral

What the job involves

As the Senior Associate of Investor Relations you will be an integral part of the Investor Relations team serving as a critical link between the company and the investment community
You will gain exposure to all aspects of the IR function, supporting senior management in clearly articulating the company’s overall strategy, financial performance and competitive positioning to investors
You will be part of a group of talented and highly motivated professionals who challenge you to think creatively and constructively
The role will report directly to the Head of Investor relations
Develop the investor narrative and become the trusted source to analysts and investors
Lead Investor targeting efforts and initial conversations with potential new investors across the capital stack
Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, including press releases, scripts, Q&A documents, investor presentations and ad hoc financial analysis
Monitor and track stock trading activity, market trends, peer company performance, and analyst estimates
Be an internal voice for shareholders that helps inform company strategy

Our take

Compass uses an AI-driven platform to smooth out and speed up the process of buying, selling, or renting property. It functions much like a traditional broker, but employs tech to reduce the time, uncertainty, cost and friction of transactions for buyers, sellers & agents.

It's disrupting a sector so far largely averse to tech innovation, allowing users to close deals in less time than the industry average of 30-45 days. Compass is now the largest independent real estate brokerage in the USA, with over 29,000 agents nationwide.

Despite being a leading residential brokerage and competing well, Compass has remained unprofitable. While the company is replanning its cost structure to be profitable over the next year, it announced its third round of payoffs in early January 2023. Its profit-generating plans include expanding into mortgages, escrow & title services.
