What the job involves
- As an early member of the team you will take an active role in designing and improving our processes/tooling as well as developing our operations strategy, in order to make sure that we continue to delight our customers as we scale
- You will become a subject matter expert on solar and storage installations and have the opportunity to share these learnings across the business by taking part in cross functional workstreams, in particular with the sales team
- As a core part of the ops function you will work directly with customers, subcontractors and logistics partners to project manage installations of solar and storage. You will be involved in many aspects of our operational processes and will be responsible for the following:
- Analysing the results from surveys to create and share installation information packs with subcontractors
- Scheduling with customers, scaffolders, installers and logistics providers
- Oversight (remote) of the installation day and management of any potential issues *(you will be heavily supported by a technical team should there be any issues of a technical nature)*
- Registration of installations with all relevant industry bodies and energy authorities
- Creation and sharing of the post installation handover pack to the customer

Sunsave, founded in 2022, is on a mission to make the power of solar accessible to every household in the UK. They're the first (and as of 2025 the only) company in the UK to offer an FCA-authorised solar subscription service - a model that's been very successful in places like Germany and the US.
70% of people in the UK are interested in solar, and Sunsave's model removes the biggest barrier to adoption - the ~£10k typical upfront cost and long payback period - so customers can save on their energy bills from day one. They offer an all-in-one subscription that includes finance, installation, monitoring and maintenance, really helping customers get the most out of their systems
Already, the company has attracted the attention of blue-chip VC funds such as Norrsken, IPGL, the UK Department of Energy, and household name entrepreneurs, including Michael Spencer and Stuart Rose. Alongside this, they raised a £13M Series A in July 2025, alongside a £100M debt facility to scale their subscription model.
They plan to also expand into complementary products like EV chargers and heat pumps, alongside tariff optimisation and energy insight software. The eventual aim is to build the company's first decentralised home energy platform and revolutionise households' relationship with energy.
