Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in data science or related field
- Experience with various machine learning and statistical models
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Ability to break down complex business problems into small constituent units
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
What the job involves
- As a Data Scientist at Homebase, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and other business stakeholders to build data and data science-driven features
- Solving critical business problems across various areas using data analysis and data science
- Developing metrics to assess the end-user impact of the ML models (e.g, time-saved)
- Communicating the results of data science experiments to non-technical audiences
- Participating in the monthly DS demos to talk about data science to the wider company
- Working with our data and product engineering teams to productionize the data science models
- Supporting Product, Engineering, and other leaders in data-driven decision-making
