Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and CI/CD workflow
- Experience with Automation Frameworks/Testing, Integration Testing, Continuous Integration, and Test Design
- Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
- Familiarity with TestRail, Testmo, Qase, X-Ray, or similar TCMS
- Strong foundation in computer science concepts (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, design, testing, etc.)
- Self-starter and able to navigate ambiguity and assess rapidly evolving priorities
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and collaborative work ethic
- Love of learning (technical and otherwise)
- Experience at fast-growing tech startups is a plus
- Experience with Lean Startup & Agile software development methodologies is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- US Citizenship required (future security clearance may be required)
- Must be located in the United States
What the job involves
- Test and certify our web-based operational dashboards, electronic procedure tools, and suite of specialized software solutions to support various space missions
- Build manual and automated tests
- Organize and run recurring regression, security, design, and accessibility testing
- Join and actively participate in customer discovery calls and technical demonstrations
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of software systems
- Oversee software QA and user testing
- Sign off on new releases and deployments
- Assess third-party and open source software and develop integrations
- Contribute to the growth and refinement of our engineering culture, processes, and tools
Our take
The space industry has been re-energized in the previous couple of decades by competition amongst commercial companies like SpaceX, Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic. That has meant an evolving set of intricate tools in an already complex project context.
In response, Epsilon3’s founders created the toolkit they never had and developed the operating system for launch operations that gives everyone in the team a platform to collaborate and communicate from test and design through major operations.
While near competitors First Resonance and Prewitt Ridge have applications in aerospace and manufacturing broadly, Epsilon3 is laser-focused on space and proving that the software works in the highest stakes and most complex environments.
The goal for Epsilon3 will be expanding its client portfolio from companies like Stoke Space and other new rocket entrants to winning custom from the likes of SpaceX. Its Series A funding from 2022 will go some way to helping the company expand.

Worked at Google as a senior software engineer and tech lead on the Chrome OS and Machine Intelligence teams. Holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
