Who you are
- 5+ years experience as a software engineer developing cloud-native solutions
- Strong computer science, security and networking fundamentals
- Java (Spring Boot, J2EE) expertise
- Cloud infrastructure experience on AWS
- A test driven development approach to deliver high quality code
- A keen interest in the Cryptocurrency space
Desirable
- Deploying, monitoring and scaling apps in a production environment
- Professional Blockchain / Cryptocurrency experience
- API design, management and security
- Working with data at scale (data engineering pipelines, serverless, etc.)
- Open source software and contributions
What the job involves
- You will contribute to the development of our platform, taking part in all stages of the product life cycle from design to operations.
- You will analyze Product “Pitches”, architect solutions, and work with the team to estimate and plan the delivery cycles, staying ahead of technological and ecosystem developments that can have an impact in the way we work and operate our service.
- You’ll also provide Level 2 support to our Customer Support teams when technical expertise is required to solve a case.

The public popularity of cryptocurrency is increasing, but the level of sophistication required is holding back mainstream adoption, and concepts like seed phrases and cold wallets have meant crypto has stayed mainly within technology-savvy communities. To open the space up to more users, Argent have created a smart wallet which feels more like logging into your bank account, where people can buy, earn, stake, and trade on Ethereum Layer 2.
Argent's pull is in its consumer-friendly, non-intimidating approach. It boasts low fees, high speeds, and quality security, alongside all the functions of saving, sending, borrowing, earning interest, and investing. Additionally, users can assign Argent Guardians in the form of trusted persons, third-party services, or hardware wallets, that can approve account recovery or untrusted transactions, but do not have access to their assets, instead of having to remember a key.
With the underlying wallet infrastructure in place, Argent has plans to build a Super App combining numerous DeFi and Web 3.0 features including virtual real estate, gaming, and NFTs. The company has seen growing demand from Latin America, and will begin expansion into the region with entry into Mexico.
