Who you are
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to dive into the heart of our operations and gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of finance
- Whether you’re passionate about balance sheets or eager to understand how a fast-growing company operates, this is the perfect role for you to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with accounting software is a bonus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Analytical mindset and a passion for problem-solving
- Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week in the NYC office

- As an Accounting Intern at Gesture, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment
- You’ll assist with essential accounting functions, from processing invoices to preparing financial reports, while working closely with our finance team to support budgeting and forecasting efforts

- You’ll not only learn the ins and outs of financial processes but also how they drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence in the e-commerce and marketing technology industry

- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Help prepare financial reports and statements
- Support the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct research and data analysis for special projects
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Collaborate with team members on process improvements and efficiency strategies
