Product Owner, FinLegal

• You will have demonstratable experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst role in a Legal/FinTech or other Technology start/scale-up.
• You will have customer discovery experience and the ability to conduct customer research, problem definition and sizing.
• You will have the ability to define requirements including the capture, articulation and refinement of those requirements, using appropriate techniques.
• You will have experience in product backlog management including backlog creation, grooming, and prioritisation methodologies.
• You will be experienced in Agile software frameworks and supported tooling such as Azure DevOps or Jira, and understand the key ceremonies of backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• You will have strong stakeholder management skills when working with internal teams, customers, and third parties to achieve desired outcomes. You will be comfortable with managing expectations, being able to tell people what they may not want to hear, whilst bringing them on the journey with you in a positive way.
• You will have strong communication skills pertinent to a remote-first organisation.
• You will have hands on experience of building, deploying and operating products that encompass web, cloud, communication, APIs, data, reporting, AI and other technologies.
• You will be a self-starter who takes responsibility for getting things done.
• You will have a passion for product, focusing on understanding problems and opportunities before collaborating with others to deliver viable solutions.
• Delivering product outcomes will be second nature to you - you will know what works and more importantly, what does not.
• You will understand the value of technology and the opportunities it generates for delivering outcomes for real people and companies.
• You will be highly adaptable and will perform well, even under uncertainty and some pressure. An important skill when working in a high trust but fast paced start-up.
• You must hold a valid right to work in the UK document.
• This role is remote-first (in the UK) however you will be able and willing to travel to our Sheffield office 2-3 times per month for in-person collaboration.

Desirable

• Vision and strategy - you will collaborate with internal stakeholders (business development, customer success, engineering) to define and articulate the product vision and strategy.
• Discovery - You will undertake research and work with customers and internal stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers on new features and products. You will capture, analyse and refine product requirements to the correct level including functional and non-functional.
• Delivery - You will manage the product backlog (review, refinement, prioritisation) in the context of prevailing business priorities, customer needs, deliverables and strategic product direction. You will operate within and constantly seek to improve our product delivery process. You will lead and actively participate in the delivery ceremonies.
• Adoption and usage - You will ensure our product is suitably instrumented for understanding usage and value. You will consistently use reporting and metrics to inform product decision making.
