Who you are
- You are fluent in German
- You have experience in sales, especially SaaS sales

What the job involves
- We are therefore looking for our first Account Executive in Germany, who will take ownership of the German market
- Reporting to our Head of Business Development, Pascale Rouchon, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle in the German market, from prospecting to closing, as well as account management
- To succeed, you’ll need to understand our clients and their drivers, and collaborate closely with product team, sales ops, and marketing teams to make this launch a success
- Prospect and leverage inbound leads to build a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Understand the challenges of your prospects, and build relevant go-to-market strategies
- Run the full sales cycle, from outreach to demos, negotiations, and closing
- Share insights and learnings from the German market with the internal Germany squad
- Achieve monthly targets set by the company for your market

- A 1-hour meeting with your future manager to dive into the role, team scope, and answer your questions
- One or two technical assessments to evaluate your skills in practice
- An onsite visit to our offices including: lunch with 3 team members from different departments (to give you a glimpse of your future colleagues), a discussion on our company values to share our vision, and a meeting with our CEO, Guillaume

Our take
Doctrine was founded to democratise access to French case law, quickly becoming France's leading AI-powered egal intelligence platform. Today, it indexes millions of court decisions, aids over 16,000 legal professionals across France, Italy, and Germany, and offers AI-driven insights.
France’s LegalTech sector is booming relative to the rest of the world, enjoying high growth. Doctrine is performing particularly well within it, high labour costs, and a difficult financial climate for this sector means few legaltech startups make it to Series A funding. This means Doctrine have made it to a neat and potentially highly lucrative market niche, and given its regionally specific expertise it’s not one they’re likely to see threatened by international competitors.
The most popular legaltech tools, like Westlaw Edge and Lex Machina, perform similar productivity-enhancing functions when it comes to document research and case review, so Doctrine is smart to be championing this in France and Europe. However, cautious French regulators still impost restrictions on judicial analytics (particularly around nudge profiling) which may limit certain innovations. That said, Doctrine's expansion into other European jurisdictions could provide it with more regulatory headroom and room to grow.
