Billing Analyst, Appcues

• 2+ years of experience in billing, collections, or finance operations, ideally in a SaaS or high-growth startup environment
• Hands-on experience with Stripe and NetSuite is required
• Strong understanding of billing systems and accounting fundamentals
• Proactive and analytical mindset
• Clear and confident communication skills—you can explain billing concepts to customers and collaborate cross-functionally with ease
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and tools in a fast-moving environment

• In this role, you’ll manage our end-to-end billing and collections processes, partner with cross-functional teams, and contribute directly to a positive customer experience through accurate invoicing, proactive support, and smart process improvements

• Own the full billing lifecycle—from setting up customer subscriptions to issuing invoices and reconciling payments

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success and Support teams to maintain customer subscription plans
• Oversee collections efforts with professionalism and consistency, ensuring healthy accounts receivable and minimal bad debt
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes by partnering with customers and internal stakeholders
• Support the Accounting team during month-end close and audits with reconciliations, reporting, and other support related to billing and collections
• Identify and drive improvements in our billing systems and processes
• Support the accurate application of sales tax across jurisdictions and ensure compliance using tools such as Avalara
