Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Marketing Leader or Director with a focus on demand generation
- Proven track record in executing integrated marketing campaigns for targeted audiences
- 3+ years managing a team of 5+ direct reports
- Strong knowledge of account-based marketing, digital marketing, and emerging trends
- Proficient in marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience marketing B2B SaaS platforms to enterprise-level buyers
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred
What the job involves
- Stensul seeks a dynamic and experienced Director of Integrated Marketing to lead our pipeline-building efforts.
- In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive demand-generation strategies that drive pipeline growth, increase brand awareness, and enhance customer acquisition. You will work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment and drive the success of Stensul's marketing initiatives.
- Reporting to the marketing leader, you’ll manage high-caliber professionals responsible for digital acquisition, account-based marketing, field and event marketing, email marketing, and marketing operations
- Develop and implement a holistic demand generation strategy to meet company goals
- Drive the ideation, creation, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate qualified accounts and support sales pipeline objectives
- Optimize demand generation processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead the planning and execution of campaigns across various channels, including email marketing, content marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, webinars, events, field marketing, and paid advertising
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team
- Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing campaigns with sales objectives and to ensure a seamless lead handoff process
- Coordinate with the Product Marketing, Content Marketing, and Creative teams to prioritize and develop integrated campaigns and determine the best channels for each product/campaign/piece of content
- Own the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process for the function
- Analyze performance weekly, monthly, and quarterly and report to the leadership team
- Utilize marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and BI tools to track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Coordinate with external agencies and vendors as needed to support demand-generation efforts
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in demand generation and digital marketing
Our take
Creating high-performance marketing emails can be time consuming for internal teams, who often have to rely on engineering and product teams for support. The founders of Stensul noted the number of tools available to businesses to support email delivery, but saw this gap for helping with creation.
Considering the importance of email in the world of marketing, every company in the world is a potential client for Stensul, and it has already worked with enterprise brands including YouTube, Samsung, Verizon Media, BMW, and Capital One. Despite competition from larger email marketing services such as MailChimp and Moosend, the company has secured substantial backing which enabled it to expand operations throughout the last few years.
Most lately, Stensul has focussed on improving its functionality, with the largest change being the addition of a landing page builder to its platform. This capability is now treated as a core part of the company's offering, and should help it expand its roster of clientele. In addition, it has added generative AI features with the aim to "improve creation efficiency" for its users, another step to ensure it stays at the front of the market.
