Company mission
Shine a light on the world of money for families and empower parents to raise financially-smart kids.
Role
Who you are
- 1-3 years of design experience at a creative agency or in-house at a design-led company
- A dynamic portfolio showcasing diverse design skills: layout, typography, color, form, motion, storytelling, and brand systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within brand guidelines
- Strong visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- A strong grasp on contemporary design aesthetics, trends, and interest in emerging technologies
- Advanced design skills in Figma. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Working knowledge of AfterEffects is a big plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Nice to have: ability to design for print and create press-ready mechanical files
- Not sure this one’s for you? Don’t count yourself out. Show us what you’ve got and we’ll reach out if there’s a great fit
- We're looking for people who ask "is it bold enough?" People who bring their real selves to the table and push the people around them to do the same
- We win by never hesitating to jump in, offer a hand, or share the credit, because we know we're stronger together than apart
- And through all of it, the mission stays the thing we measure ourselves against: are we doing right by the families counting on us?
- If that sounds like your kind of team, we'd love for you to apply
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Brand Designer with a passion for creative storytelling and experience working within a design system on a wide range of activations
- In this role, you will partner closely with the Design team to build and grow Greenlight’s visual brand identity across all of our marketing, advertising, and product touchpoints
- You’ll be responsible for creating work that connects with families, clearly communicates all our product offerings, brings surprise & delight, and differentiates Greenlight in the competitor space
- Concept and design engaging visual assets across Greenlight’s brand and product ecosystem to support customer acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts
- Work on a range of creative projects like marketing and product launch campaigns, website landing pages, emails, social media content, in-app content, company swag, presentation decks, direct mailers, and more
- Leverage motion to engage viewers and support storytelling
- Drive consistency and cohesion across the brand, building upon guidelines and identifying opportunities for fresh visual expression
- Collaborate with marketing and product managers, creative directors, strategists, copywriters, designers, and cross-functional teams to ensure your work delivers on the creative brief and meets business objectives
Our take
Greenlight was built to help parents raise financially-smart kids. It’s a gap in a generation’s education for which a new sector of ‘family finance’ is emerging to combat.
The company serves millions of parents and kids with accounts distinguished by their easy-to-use money management tools and educational resources. Even famed actress Viola Davis told Jimmy Kimmel that she uses the fintech startup’s services to teach her daughter financial lessons.
Greenlight is now looking to expand its suite of products into more lucrative verticals. 2022 saw the launch of its first credit card product for parents. Like most credit cards, it will offer cashback (up to 3% on all purchases). On top of this, 2026 saw it release its anti-fraud Family Shield product to overwhelming success, and it was recognised as the Financial Education App of the year by the Fintech Breakthrough Program.
Greenlight has gained the trust of millions of families worldwide. The startup’s long-term success will be determined by whether it can continue to release these lucrative products without tarnishing this trust.
